This simple syrup can help break up congestion and open up the breathing passages. When you feel an asthmatic episode coming on, take 1 teaspoon of this syrup.
Ingredients
1/2 cup raw honey
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger, peeled
6 garlic cloves, peeled
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
This preparation makes a cup which is equivalent to 48 teaspoon servings.
How to prepare;
1. Put the honey, lemon juice, ginger, garlic and cayenne in a blender or food processor and puree.
2. Pour into a glass jar, label and date.
3. Store at room temperature and use within 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
